TailNet
TailNet is trained using a combination of labels derived from the Citizen Science program Active Asteroids) and Colin Orion Chandler. The network is designed to provide the likelihood that an image contains a minor planet displaying cometary activity like a tail. TailNet has already uncovered several previously unknown active objects, including active asteroids and Jupiter-family comets. Stay tuned for announcements and peer-reviewed publications!
